Description

The Labour version of the Renter’s Rights Bill presents the most significant change to the private rented sector that we’ve seen in a generation. This short session informs learners on what we know so far about the Bill and how Awaab’s law may be implemented into the PRS.

Content:
Whilst still at Bill stage there may be further amendments, but many landlords and property managers are preparing themselves for what may come. In this session we explore some of the challenges and possible solutions.

Objectives:

  • A brief look back in history – the rise of the Assured Shorthold Tenancy.
  • Removal of S21 and anticipated amendments to ground 8.
  • Rent increases, rental bidding, and tenant NTQ changes.
  • Extension of Awaab’s law into the sector and how this might be applied.
  • FAQ session to help you prepare for what’s to come.

Suitable For:
Residential property managers and landlords who currently issue AST. Surveyors and valuers working in the buy to let sector.
