The report is all the client sees. Analysis of many claims against surveyors suggests they found the issues complained about but then failed to report correctly. The course looks at the entire process of gathering evidence and then considering and reporting on defects, deficiencies, personal hazards, risks to the property, energy matters and legal issues in such a way to comply with best practice.
Content:
Plain English and jargon, desktop studies, checklists, recording the information on site, reflecting on the evidence found, standard paragraphs, survey levels 1, 2 and 3, reporting defects and necessary repairs and costs, the final report, verbal reports, AI, different and future reporting methods.
Objectives:
Introduce delegates to the concept of a process of careful and structured consideration of all available evidence;
Demonstrate how this process can be used in practice to report issues in survey reports; and
Practice, by using case studies and discussion by group work, how to provide satisfactory reports to clients.
Suitable For:
Practising surveyors, lettings and housing managers and personnel, students and other aspiring building professionals.
